Spiritual Dialysis = Reading the Bible Daily

"Would you skip a day of dialysis for Samuel?"  I heard it loud and clear. I was asleep and all of a sudden I was aware of this conversation happening. "Of course I wouldn't." My mind immediately answered. "Then why do you skip days of reading the Word?"  was the response, and then the voice was gone. It was still dark, and I guessed it to be around four in the morning. I was sleeping beside my daughter, as I was too tired to go up and down the stairs again tonight when either his dialysis machine beeped (asking for me to reposition him), or her glucose sensor alarm went off (alerting me her blood sugar was either too high or too low). I knew that it was the Lord that had just entered the room of my thoughts. There are times like these when I know His voice. It's direct. Clear. Wise; concepts that immediately make sense, but that I know I did not think, because after it's gone, I am still trying to reason, or process, what was just said...

Have you invited the enemy to stay because you did not know how to fight?

This dream: A group of Hispanic children were playing on the playground, I think they were all standing together on one of those merry-go-round platforms. The parents were off to the side eating and talking. All of a sudden, a giant lion quickly approaches the children and starts to attack them.  The taller children are putting up their arms to block this lion and all of the children are huddled together screaming. I look to the parents to see what they are going to do, and they are stunned and just standing there not willing to attempt to help.  In my dream, I wondered why no one would go to try to scare the lion away and in my dream I somehow knew it was because they were afraid that they too would be attacked and it was better to minimize the attack (to only the children). After a moment, I noticed someone had put food on their plate (it was 2 opened biscuit looking things with a queso type sauce) and they were in the process of setting it up closer to ...

God's Word Chased Away Sickness Again - possibly the flu

There is quite a controversy among Christians regarding using faith as a form of "medicine". I write another testimony to remind ourselves, and hopefully inspire others, to "see" more of what Jesus Christ's sacrifice paid for. * * *  Saturday I finally dedicated the full day to painting Kara's room.  It was a big deal. The night before I had warned her that I would not paint her room if her closet was still untidy. She seemed overwhelmed as she asked, "Do I have to do it all by myself?". It was not that I did not want to help her, as I usually do, but I was maxed out on my schedule of things to do. I was pleasantly surprised when she told me she "had a surprise for me in the morning". Before I went to bed, I peaked in her room and saw she had meticulously cleaned up her closet. It looked fantastic! I knew she was super excited about painting her room the next day. She had patiently waited until "I had time", w...

Homeless Man Tithes 100% and gets back 100 Fold Return in about 2 weeks!

Super excited about this.... today, a homeless man we have been ministering to crossed our paths. We got to hear amazing testimony! A few weeks ago, Vincent called us for help. He was having a bad day. The lady he had been staying with kicked him out. The KFC job he finally got had told him not to come back for a few weeks (while the manager was out for surgery). He was INSIDE a church asking for help. He said he was hungry. He told us the lady inside their cafe said to him, "We don't do that here, but we'll pray for you, and you can use my phone." Pause. Let that sink in a minute. Another post for another day.... Back to this story. He called us. We had had a busy Monday and had not gotten any of our homeschool or work done. It was Tuesday morning and I was ready to hit the day. This call was not on my schedule. But, what do you say when the church has offered no help and this man is calling you for help? Of course I was inconvenienced and had ...
